A Houston moving company owner has been sentenced to two life sentences for torturing small children he was babysitting. The man, identified as 32-year-old John Doe, was arrested in May 2023 after police received a call from a concerned neighbor who heard screams coming from Doe's apartment. When police arrived, they found two toddlers, ages 2 and 3, with severe injuries. The children had been beaten, burned, and starved.

Doe was charged with two counts of aggravated assault of a child and two counts of torture. He pleaded guilty to the charges in October 2023 and was sentenced to two life sentences without the possibility of parole on Wednesday, February 15, 2023.
